I just handed in my last final. I am (un)officially a college graduate. Oh, the excitement.
I've been cleaning and starting to pack up. Danny comes tomorrow. I'm about to wet myself with excitement. Gross.
I actually don't have anything to say. I'm going to continue cleaning and then go get mani/pedis with Heather. OH BOY!

UPDATE!!
So my cell phone rang during class today. I looked at it.. "215? Where the hell is 215?" So my friend Geoff, who has the internet on his phone, looks up the number. It's Cardozo's admissions number.
I sit there real excited for the rest of class. I listen to my voicemail.
"Hi, Laura, this is so-and-so, Dean of Admissions for Cardozo School of Law.. Just wanted to call you with some good news. I'm pleased to tell you that you've been accepted to the law school. The admissions committee and I are convinced you'll make a great addition to the school and, because of this, we would like to offer you a $25,000 a year scholarship."
...What? 25k? I wasn't even sure I'd get into this school. I cried.
My life is real good.

The debate tonight was hilarious. Shame on you if you didn't watch it.
Ridiculous Youtubers. Mike Gravel making fun of the fact that he never gets a chance to speak (Totally true). Anderson Cooper making fun of the fact that they couldn't find anyone to the left of Kucinich (Funny. Love me, Anderson Cooper). Edwards making fun of Hils' jacket (TOTALLY TRUE. I was making fun of it since the time the broadcast started). Dodd and Gravel just kind of fell into the background. Except Gravel's funny comments on him never getting to speak. And as usual, Dodd did not get to speak either. Edwards. Meh. I still don't mind the guy, but I don't love him. Hils looked puffy. That's beside the point. She's getting more okay in my eyes the more I watch her. We all know I like Obama. Joe Biden, I still adore. Richardson did a great job tonight, in my opinion. He caught my eye more than usual, at least. Kucinich... Oh, Dennis. We're the same on policy. I love you. I wish you had a chance.. but you wasted a lot of time talking about texting Congress that you could have used to actually make yourself seen in this debate.
Overall: Two hours of solid entertainment.
I LOVE ELECTION SEASON

Back to PGH in a week. The boy said he didn't feel like working at a distance relationship. Was so surprised when my answer to "We can still hang out and talk all the time though?" was a huge NO. I don't let me friends lie to and disrespect me. Why would I let you?
Went shopping the other day. Two cute black tops. Giraffe print black and white pencil skirt. Silver mini mod-like dress. Skin tight black jeans Two of the same top in different colors. SEQUINS. Four pairs of shoes. Flat, black, ballet slippers. Flat, leopard print, ballet slippers. High pink peek toe hot pink pumps. Four inch, spike heeled stilettos.. sling back, criss cross on the toe, peekaboo toe. Leopard print. Sexiest things ever.
Lacy's wedding a week from today. That should be sweet.
Time to go straighten my hair and go to work from 12-9. I wish I was kidding.
Speaking of hair, I'm cutting mine off. One week from Tuesday. I'll let you know how it goes.

ere's a story meant to entertain.
I got off of work around 5 on Friday and drove (very tired) down to Pittsburgh. Met up with Lindsay and headed out to Oakland to go to Chris Ballantine's house. Picked up Mathieu, Emmy, and Jose along the wya. Get to see all my fratty friends and have a good time. Mathieu and I somehow end up with Igor at Bootleggers and then at Hemmingway's (getting the high score on Erotic Photo Hunt). Then he left and I passed out sprawled out on Emmy and Lindsay's couch. Sexy. Fun night. <3
Saturday we decided to go to a club. Let's choose the Matrix. We took a cab over and Lindsay somehow tipped the driver 9 dollars by accident. Whatever, he was sweet as hell. He listened to us talk about things that you probably shouldn't talk about in the company of strangers. We made him giggle. Went to get a quick bite and a drink before heading over there. Dance on the stage thing. Got offered a job by some old dude. He said I was just what he was looking for a bartender: cute, but not slutty. I thought that dancing on a stage made you a little iffy. Thanks though, sir.
At 2am, the Matrix kicks us out. Guys aren't as cute when the lights come on. We go outside. Backstory: I am a facebook creeper. Back to the real story: This kid walks by and I recognize him from pictures that my freshman roommate was in. Creepy, right? So I yell something at him because I'm drunk enough to do that. Lindsay tries to call us a cab and.. actually, I have no idea why that didn't work. So this kid offers us a ride on a party bus with them. Sweet idea. Hitching a ride back to Oakland on a party bus with no one that we know or have ever spoken to before. Classy, ladies.
So we're on this party bus dancing. Weird. But the point is, all of a sudden, the birthday boy pretty much falls over on me. Whatever, he's drunk, right? Wrong. Turns out the party bus got in an accident. However, 95% of us didn't realize it. All of a sudden, I complain "Why is the music so quiet?!" and I hear someone else go "Man, I can't believe we got in an accident." Oops. It was at that moment that the rest of us looked up and realized that we weren't moving and that the driver was gone. This was probably five minutes later. GENIUS. So some kid goes up and turns the music up and we dance until the situation is resolved. Sweet.
We get dropped off with them and realize... Shit. We're in Oakland. We need to get to Shadyside. I look at my phone and realize that Igor called so I called him and was telling him how we were walking to Shadyside barefoot. Being the most amazing man in the world, Igor comes to pick us up. We then go home, eat popcorn and pickles, and pass out. Lindsay tried to spoon me.
That's my weekend. To sum it up: Guys in bandanas are creepy.
I copied this from my Myspace blog. Wanna fight about it?

Left France. Only cried once. With Colin, strangely enough. Four hour delay in Paris CDG. Hadn't slept the night before. Got home. Ate food. Passed out. Have had a massive headache/migraine for nearly three days straight. Went to PGH last night. Saw my aunt and my cousins. Sweet. Adam picked me up. We're cute. Went to GDS. I have the best friends in the world. Time to go play with the Peanut and the Trips.

Here's a quick one for you (since it's 5am): Michelle and I went to a classy ass dinner. It was the most delicious thing ever. We went to IPN. We shook it. Simon and John decided we need to go swimming in the Rotonde fountain. We did. It was cold. I could see my breathe. Great idea. I get out. John and Simon start arguing with some French guys. This cute guy from Luxembourg who I had met at IPN once comes up and starts helping out and talking with me. The cops pull up. Michelle and I run. Cute guy from Luxembourg doesn't tell us everything the cop said, but relays that the fountain apparently has bad chemicals in it and that we need to go home and shower immediately. I went to IPN to try and find John's coat. Mission unsuccessful. I finally get home. Shower at 4:30 in the morning. Need to go to bed now. France is sweet. Need to make the most of the week left.

Well, we all know that I will be back in the grand old USofA in less than two weeks. I'll be spending that at home. Yeah, whatev.
But this brings about a new question in my mind: Where next?
I'm taking the LSATs at the end of September. Hopefully some school will let me in. Then it is decision time. Lately, I've been very interested in applying to the following schools (in no particular order): 1. University of Pittsburgh -What can I say? I do love Pittsburgh. However, I'm not sure if I want to do this. I am very scared that if I don't get out for at least the three years of law school I will go insane. 2. Brooklyn -Heights, not Hood. Complete change of pace and in a great location for eventually doing public interest. 3. NYU -I will never get in here. 4. American University -Great for public interest. Again, good place to practice. +Innocence Project 5. Georgetown 6. GWU 7. Loyola (LA) -Amazing for public interest. Again, great place to practice. 8. Hastings (San Francisco) -Not sure. Need to look more into it. 9. Cincinnatti -Not too far, good for me, innocence project.
Who knows. This list may get shortened or made longer. I need help.
Coming home soon. Getting ready. Going to miss the real friends I made here. Will not miss the fake ones.
I am counting down the days for the following reasons: 1. Speaking English 2. Getting motivated again 3. Mom and Dad 4. Better food and foods I have missed like crazy 5. Tanner (yep, that's the dog) 6. Peanut and the Triplets 7. Getting my confidence back up 8. Adam 9. The Pi 10. Starting to make money and stop mooching off my parents 11. Getting to see my whole family, especially my grandma 12. Heading toward my future and no longer being able to say "who cares? this won't count anyway"
Reasons I can't leave: 1. Michelle, John, James, Paul, Simon, Ross, Serge, Whit, Alden, Lino, Jalal -Did you notice there's only one girl on that list? Crazy. 2. People will actually understand what I'm saying when I walk down the street and I can't just say whatever I want. 3. The food. When I actually go out to eat-- oh my, the food. 4. Never having to go to bed is a nice thing. 5. The weather 6. The location-- beach, anyone? 7. No longer being able to just hop from country to country on the weekend. 8. I know I won't learn any more French once I'm out of here. Sucks.
Ok I'm getting tired and lazy I don't want to write anymore. This was long enough and.. I'm lame. Time to go get ready and finally see the Brits. What the crap? They've been gone for so long, I haven't seen Paul since right before I left for Paris. This is the worst thing ever. I'm going to hug the crap out of them.

I have no idea why I'm updating this, no one reads it anyway.
I have cut all the negativity and grudges out of my life. I don't have time to hate people. I'm busy.
Love my friends. Went out bowling for Jeremy's birthday yesterday. I think I broke 60. I'm so good. Came home early because..
This morning the train left at 7:20 for the beach. We could have taken a later one, but we decided we wanted more time there and the bus came back at 5:00. Had we taken the bus there, we wouldn't have gotten there until like 1. Whats the point? So I got up at 6 to shower and shave and whatnot and meet Michelle at 6:45. Well we ran late, but we made it. It took forever to get there and we had to wait in Marseille forever. After walking a million miles we got to the beach at Cassis around 10am. I laid out until we got up at about 4:15. Worst. Idea. Ever. I'm gonna look hot once this burn turns to tan but right now I look like a lobster and my skin feels like it might fall off my legs. Sweet!
As of midnight, I only have two more weeks left in Aix-en-Provence. Put into the mix that the French have two holidays coming up that we get off from class-- both this and next Tuesday. Add to that the fact that IPN, which is usually closed on Monday, will be open for the last two that I am here because of said holidays. Also stir in the Brits coming back on Monday. Add a little dash of a party at John's tomorrow that Michelle and I will be dressing up pretty for. Stir in everyone I love but never get to hang out with, including my new favorite Serge and the wonderful Colin (who I am bummed about leaving in two weeks. Guess I'll drop by for a cute little reunion with him [that will hopefully be crashed by Danny, too!] when I visit law schools in Cali!). This is going to be an amazing two weeks, mixing/food/whatthehell analogies or not.
I'm making my triumphant return to Pittsburgh on the 14th of May (yeah that's right. the day after i get back. screw you, jet lag) to go to my one, true home*: The Garage Door Saloon. No one reads this, but IF THEY DID, they would know that this will be the best thing ever and they should be in attendance.
I just had an itch. So I scratched my ankle and now I feel as though I am going to die. I love sunburn so so much. I can't wait for this to be a tan. Until then, bow down to the leader of the tomato people.
Where can a girl get a job in Warren, PA for the summer?
*Oh, come on, Mom. You know where my one true home is. This falsehood was only for literary purposes. Yes. This is a reeeeal quality piece of literature.
